Teen killed in around-the-world flight attempt
(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A man who saw a plane flown by a teen killed during an around-the-world flight says there was no obvious signs of distress before it dove into the ocean.
17-year-old Haris Suleman and his father Babar took from America Samoa Tuesday, crashing into the pacific ocean just a mile from shore.
Haris' body was found just after the crash.
Coast Guard crews are still searching for his father.
A witness says he saw the plane flying low, thinking it would gain altitude, but instead it dived downward.
The witness also says he did not see a fire or explosion beforehand.
