Same sex marriage likely to become legal in Virginia Thurs.

VIRGINIA (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Unless the Supreme Court intervenes, same sex marriage becomes legal Thursday in Virginia.

A revised marriage license form is already being drafted for courthouse clerks to use as soon as they open their doors Thursday morning.

The state's ban on same-sex marriages was struck down by the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.

Opponents are appealing that decision.
