Ride services Lyft and Uber in fight
(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Lyft says its competitor Uber is playing dirty.
The site claims Uber's operations log gives employees burner phones and credit cards to create dummy accounts.
Then hundreds of Uber employees request thousands of Lyft rides, only to cancel them when the driver is almost there.
Lyft is also accusing Uber of trying to secretly recruit drivers, offering 500 dollars if they convert.
Drivers say in the end they are the ones paying the prices for this bitter feud.
"We're the ones stuck in the middle you know getting basically screwed over by their wars," said one driver.
Uber says that some of the story is twisted, but did not say which parts.
Since the war both companies have cut down prices as well.
