Police officer accused of sexually assaulting women while on duty

OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - An Oklahoma City police officer is behind bars, being held on $5-million bond after allegedly sexually assaulting at least six women while on duty.

Daniel Holtzclaw was arrested Thursday on complaints of rape, among others.

The Oklahoma City Police Chief calls Holtzclaw's alleged actions appalling.

"It angers us that one of our people, one of our officers that people trust to keep them safe, is doing just the opposite," said Chief Bill Citty.

Authorities say they have statements from six victims and expect one from a seventh.

Investigators believe there are even more women who have yet to come forward.
