New York leaders want to ban toys in fast food meals
NEW YORK (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Leaders in New York City are once again attempting to push residents to eat healthier.
This time they're working on kids.
A New York City Council member is bringing back a failed initiative from 2011, attempting to ban packaging toys with fatty foods at fast food restaurants.
The idea is this would then make the obvious choice for parents and kids to purchase a healthier meal.
A similar initiative recently failed in San Francisco.
