New information emerges about accused Fresno shooter
FRESNO, Calif. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - We have new information about a man accused of shooting three people seemingly at random in Fresno, California this week.
Officials say Kori Muhammad, the alleged shooter, joined a gang when he was only nine years old.
Authorities believe the attacks that killed three white men were racially motivated.
They say after he joined a gang, Muhammad joined the black liberation movement at 14, and converted to Islam just a few years later.
Right now, he is in police custody.
The district attorney says he expects to have Muhammad in court for an arraignment on hate crimes and murder charges as soon as Friday.
