Malaysia Airlines to cut 6,000 workers

MALAYSIA (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - In an effort to revive its damaged brand after being hit by double passenger jet disasters, Malaysia Airlines has announced it plans to cut 6,000 workers.

That's a cut of about 30-percent of its current workforce.

Investigators continue to scour the southern Indian Ocean for Flight 370 which disappeared March 8th with 239 people on board.

In July, close to 300 people were killed when Flight 17 was blasted out of the sky as it flew over an area of eastern Ukraine.
