      Israel rejects cease-fire

ISRAEL (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - In Israel, leaders are rejecting a proposal for a humanitarian cease-fire in the Gaza Strip.

And Israel says one of its soldiers is missing after a deadly battle.

Israel is also reporting two more soldiers have been killed.

Israeli aircraft hit more than 70 targets in the Gaza Strip Tuesday, including the home of a Hamas leader, 5-mosques and a football field.

Secretary of State John Kerry is in Israel trying to broker a peace deal.

He is expected to also meet with top Egyptian and Arab League officials.
