Holmes trial delayed again
COLORADO (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The trial of accused Colorado theater shooter James Holmes has been delayed again.
His trial was scheduled to begin in October, but a psychiatrist conducting a second sanity examination on Holmes asked for more time to complete it.
A new trial date is set to be scheduled at a hearing later this month.
Holmes is accused of shooting dozens of people in a packed movie theater during a midnight showing of Batman film "The Dark Knight Rises" in July 2012.
12 people died.
Holmes has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity.
