      Congressional critics cite military budget as political pork barrel

      WASHINGTON, D.C. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A proposed military budget worth more than a half-trillion dollars recently passed the Senate, but there are more hurdles.

      A growing number of critics say in the absence of earmarks, the military budget has become a pork barrel for politicians.
