City park ranger beaten in Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Philadelphia police have arrested a 19-year-old and a 17-year-old suspect and are searching for a third in the videotaped beating of a city park ranger.
"I'm just like 'this is ridiculous.' I didn't even think it was going to go to the level that it did," said Mariano Verrico, who shot the video.
The beating, captured by on onlooker, happened Friday at Love Park."
Police say the park ranger was trying to enforce a no-skateboarding rule.
The video shows one suspect punching the ranger in the face, kicking him while he's down and even spitting at the ranger after refusing a request to leave.
