Chicken taken off menu at Hong Kong McDonald's
HONG KONG (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - McDonald's restaurants in Hong Kong have taken chicken items off its menu over concerns its supplier sold expired meat.
A TV station reported last week that Shanghai Husi Food Company repackaged and sold meat past its use-by date.
Five Husi employees have been detained since that report.
McDondald's in Hong Kong said it used chicken from a Husi factory, but not the particular factory at the center of the scandal.
