Cease fire holding in Gaza

GAZA STRIP (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas appears to be holding strong.

The open-ended deal announced Tuesday was made by Egypt and came after seven weeks of fighting that claimed over 2,000 lives.

Israel agreed to open crossings on its border to ease delivery of humanitarian aid into Gaza.

Palestinians will be allowed to fish up to six nautical miles from the coast.

Indirect talks on more complex issues could to take place in Cairo a month from now.
