AAA predicts spike in electric car sales
(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - With summer right around the corner, families are getting ready for road trips!
Even though gas prices are lower than recent years, AAA predicts a spike is coming for electric car sales.
They find more than 30 million Americans are likely to buy an electric car for their next vehicle.
That's likely because drivers of electric vehicles tend to spend half as much on gas.
AA also finds drivers are looking closer at hybrids because it's better for the environment.
There are still concerns about how far electric cars can travel, but experts say that will change as more charging stations are built across the country.
