500 kids trapped at camp after mudslides in California
CALIFORNIA (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - As many as 500 children at a church camp may be trapped after torrential rain and mudslides cut off and shut down a southern California town.
Authorities are now contributing one-death to the flooding and mudslides.
The San Bernardino Fire Department says most of the roads in forest falls are impassable right now because of mudflows.
Some roads are covered with 6 to 8 feet of rock.
Even the local fire station had to be evacuated.
