WMU Heritage Hall announced as finalist for Governor's Energy Excellence Award
KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Western Michigan University's Heritage Hall--formerly East Hall--is a finalist for a Governor's Energy Excellence Award.
The awards honor Michigan organizations and individuals for their commitment to responsible energy production and consumption.
Western was a finalist in the Best Projects public category for its revamp of Heritage Hall, which included installing central cooling and getting rid of asbestos and lead abatement.
Parchment Public Schools was also a finalist in this category.
The winners will be announced later this month.
