Victim tells police he was shot driving by argument

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A Battle Creek man is shot after he drives past an argument in the street.

Police say it happened near Parkway Drive and Blenken Court, around 4 a.m. Saturday.

A 24-year-old man told police he was driving when he saw people arguing in the road. He told police, as he drove by, his car was shot at.

The victim then drove himself to the hospital. Police say the victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries. He only described the suspect as a black male wearing a black shirt. Police say he would only provide minimal information.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Battle Creek Investigation Service Bureau or Silent Observer.
