UPDATE: Driver in fatal crash arraigned on multiple charges, facing possible deportation
HOLLAND, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The driver in a fatal car v. Motorcycle crash is now being held on $250,000 bail.
Eulises Mora-Hernandez, 30, was arraigned Wednesday, August 6th in the 58th District Court by Judge Knoll.
The crash happened around 9pm Sunday (8/3) night.
Ottawa County Sheriff's Deputies say a vehicle heading east on 32nd crossed the centerline and crashed head on with a motorcycle drivne by David Ashterhof, 57.
The Holland resident was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.
Investigators say after the crash, two passengers in the vehicle took off on foot. They were captured a short time later.
Mora-Hernandez has been charged with OWI causing death, Driving with License Suspended causing death, and failing to stop at a fatal accident.
All three suspects are being held for ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) as a result of their immigration status.
The Holland Department of Public Safety is working closely with the Ottawa County Prosecutors Office and additional criminal charges may be filed.
