Traffic stop sends convicted felons to jail in Calhoun County
BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Two people are in jail after Battle Creek Police recover a loaded semi-automatic handgun during a traffic stop.
It happened just before 1:00 a.m. Saturday morning when officers stopped a mini-van for a traffic violation on South Washington Avenue near West Dickman Road.
After searching the vehicle, a 22-year-old and 33-year-old man, both convicted felons, were arrested and taken to the Calhoun County Jail.
They're facing multiple charges including carrying a concealed weapon, felon in possession of a firearm and felony firearm.
