Traffic stop leads to drug bust in Van Buren Co.

VAN BUREN COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Two men are under arrest after a traffic stop leads to a drug bust in Van Buren County.

It happened around 5:45 Thursday night on I-94 near County Road 657 in Antwerp Township.

A deputy pulled a vehicle over for equipment and other violations.

The 23-year-old from Benton Harbor was arrested because he had recently smoked marijuana and was driving under the influence.

In the vehicle, the deputy found over 1,200 grams of pseudoephedrine, in individual packages, ready to be sold to make meth.

23-year-old Richard James was arrested because he had a warrant out for his arrest on a probation violation.
