Three Rivers man injured after thrown from a four wheeler

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A Three Rivers man has been seriously injured after he was thrown from his four wheeler after a crash. It happened Tuesday afternoon on Michigan Ave West of Hutchinson Rd in Park Township.

Deputies say Gerald Butler, 74 was attempting to cross the road from a private drive and did not see a Chevy pickup pulling a boat that was heading Eastbound on Michigan Ave.

Butler's four wheeler hit the trailer and he was thrown from his vehicle.

Butler, who was not wearing a helmut, sustained serious injuries and was transported by Aircare to Bronson Hospital.

The driver and passenger in the Chevy were not injured.
