State recall petition hearing set for Branch County Prosecutor
COLDWATER, Mich. —
The state will decide whether a petition to remove a local prosecutor can move forward on Tuesday.
A group of Branch County citizens is trying to force a recall election for Branch County Prosecutor Ralph Kimble.
The Newschannel 3 I-Team uncovered sexual harassment accusations against Kimble from several women he worked with at the Branch County Courthouse.
Michigan State Police requested charges, but they were never filed because a key witness refused to cooperate, claiming they were afraid of retaliation.
If the petition is approved on Tuesday, the group will need to collect about 3,000 signatures in 60 days to force a recall election.
