      St. Joseph Co. deputies warn about phone scam

      ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The St. Joseph County Sheriff's Office is warning debit card holders about a phone scam.

      Deputies received a complaint from a person who got a call that their debit card had been temporarily locked.

      They had to then press in a combination of numbers to get to a call center.

      The Sheriff's Office is warning anyone who gets one of these calls to not put in the numbers and hang up.

      The complainant's bank was notified, and confirmed a scam.
