San Francisco Police release photo of person of interest in Higgins death

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Police in San Francisco have released taxi cab dashcam video of a man who they are calling a person of interest in the fatal beating of a West Michigan native.

31-year-old Bryan Higgins was found beaten at around 7:30 a.m. Pacific time on August 10.

He was pronounced dead at 3:33 p.m. Pacific on August 13, just after being removed from life support. Gatherings were held both in Kalamazoo and San Francisco at that time, in memory of the man who also went by 'Feather.'

Police are investigating Higgins' death as a homicide, but have not identified any suspects at this time.

The video shows what San Francisco Police Chief Greg Suhr says is a white man with a grey sweatshirt, and a red t-shirt underneath, and a baseball cap, who appears to be arguing with someone, near the area where Higgins was found.

The person of interest has not yet been identified.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect or has information about the homicide is urged to contact San Francisco police at (415) 575-4444.
