Puppies arriving at Human Society of West Mich.

GRAND RAPIDS (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The Humane Society of West Michigan is getting a special delivery Friday.

More than 30 puppies are being delivered by way of the Puppy Pipeline.

It's a unique rescue program out of Georgia.

Volunteers transport "death row" dogs and puppies, especially from high kill shelters in the south, to new shelters and adoptions in northern states.

Since its inception in 2007, nearly 4,000 dogs have been placed into forever homes.
