Police seeking suspect in string of robberies across Indiana, Michigan

Police are searching for a suspect in a crime spree that's covered two states, including at a Mobil gas station in Wyoming.

Investigators say the same man is wanted in connection with at least six robberies over the past week in Indiana and west Michigan. He might also be involved in robberies in Grand Rapids and Walker, Mich., this morning, though police have not been specific about those locations.

The man police are seeking has been identified as Jacob Abraham Savickas, 33, who also is wanted on warrants involving charges of being a parole absconder larceny from a person, and fleeing and eluding.

Savickas is believed to be driving a blue or purple 2001 Oldsmobile Intrigue with Michigan license plate DNL 1257; police said that car is registered to him.

Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to call the Kent County (Mich.) Sheriff's Department at 616-632-6125 or Silent Observer at 616-774-2345
