UPDATE: Police locate missing elderly couple with dementia
KENT COUNTY, Mich. —
11 A.M. UPDATE: A missing couple who both suffer from dementia were located safe late this morning.
The Kent County Sheriff's Office reported that Robert and Lucille Frankhauser were found unharmed in Wexford County, Michigan. They were located by the Michigan State Police and are now being reunited with family.
The Kent County Sheriff's Office is asking for your help finding a missing elderly couple from Spencer Township.
Robert and Lucille Fankhauser were last seen Sunday night at a gas station in Northern Kent County, close to 11 p.m.
Before that, police said their debit card was last used at a Meijer store in Greenville at 9 p.m.
Both Robert and Lucille have severe dementia and have driven as far as Ludington in the past.
Police said they might be driving a tan 2005 Buick LaCrosse with a handicap Michigan license plate number 3862F9.
The couple also has their German shepherd with them.
