Motorcyclist in serious condition after being hit by a car

HUDSONVILLE, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A motorcycle rider was seriously injured after being hit by a car Sunday, August 10th.

It happened just after 3pm at the corner of 32nd and Highland in Hudsonville.

Ottawa County Sheriff's Deputies say a car driven by Karen Minner, 50, was heading north-bound on 32nd when she turned west-bound on highland and into the path of the motorcycle.

The rider, Patrick Walton, 59, was thrown from the motorcycle. Deputies say he was not wearing a helmet. He was transported to Spectrum Butterworth and is currently listed in serious condition.

While the crash remains under investigation, deputies say speed and alcohol were not factors in the crash.
