Member of Albion Community Ambulance dies after battle with cancer
ALBION, Mich. —
A man who spent his life helping people in Calhoun County has lost his battle with colon cancer.
A close family friend tells us Dan Neil passed away Saturday morning after a two-year fight.
Neil started volunteering in emergency medical services when he was just 16-years-old, beginning as a dispatcher at the Albion-area ambulance service.
Over the last 30 years, friends tell us he's worked for every ambulance company in Calhoun County. He also served in Jackson County.
Neil was just 47 years old.
