Meijer pledges $500K to Red Cross for disaster relief

WEST MICHIGAN (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Supermarket chain Meijer is donating $500,000 to help the Red Cross with disaster relief efforts.

Just last month, the Red Cross provided relief to dozens of West Michigan families after tornadoes destroyed homes in Kentwood and Wyoming.

The organization served more than 100 meals and provided overnight stays at area shelters.

Donations make it possible for the Red Cross to provide services to those in need, free of charge.
