Mattawan police now enforcing curfew laws

MATTAWAN, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Mattawan Police are now enforcing state curfew laws for children under the age of 16.

The chief says there have been several reports of teens and pre-teens hanging out on the streets, and officers are concerned it could lead to crimes like break-ins.

If you're under 12, you must be off the streets from 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m., unless you are with a parent.

A child between 12 and 16 needs to be off the streets between midnight and 6:00 a.m.
