Man accused of killing his girlfriend arraigned for open murder, five other crimes

A Wyoming man accused of killing his girlfriend was arraigned on multiple charges Wednesday morning.

LaDale Williams-Nelson, 37, was charged in Wyoming 62-A District Court with the following six crimes:

  • Homicide-Open Murder
  • Felon in Possession of a Firearm
  • Felony Firearm
  • Domestic Violence 3rd Offense
  • Interfering with Electronic Communications (911)
  • Supp 4-Habitual Offender

WIlliams-Nelson is accused of killing his girlfriend, 25-year-old Laticia Vela. He was denied bond and remains in custody at the Kent County Correctional Facility.

Investigators determined the suspected murder weapon recovered at the scene was stolen out of Kentwood in 2016.

The case remains under investigation.
