Kellogg Community College to add five new sports teams starting in 2018
BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) —
Kellogg Community College announced they will be adding five new sports teams to its athletic program.
Men's and women's cross-country will be added for the 2018-2019 season.
Women's soccer will be added for the 2019-2020 season, and men's and women's bowling will be added in 2020.
The teams will expand the college's current offering of men's baseball, basketball and volleyball.
KCC’s women's softball team will be retired after the 2017-2018 season.
The college is also adding new associate degree programs in sports management and exercise science, which would provide students with advantages when they enter bachelor's programs.
