Kalamazoo police are investigating a bank robbery at the Lake Michigan Credit Union on Gull Road.

KDPS officers responded to a report of a bank robbery at the Lake Michigan Credit Union, 3326 Gull Rd., just before 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Police said two black males in their late teens or early 20's walked into the bank and slid the teller a note demanding money. The teller handed over the money and the men, dressed in all black clothing, fled on foot.

A K-9 unit was seen around the area and police have the bank sealed off.

Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety Lt. Mike Treu said, “Staff is always in danger when something like this happens. So, unfortunately, it's very frightening for them, very traumatic situation for them to be robbed. At this point we're not disclosing any information about weapons."

No one was injured and police are still searching for the suspects.

Police said one suspect is around 5 feet 6 inches and the other is around 5 feet 11 inches tall.
