Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra launching education initiative for refugee children
KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra is launching a new education initiative--for refugee children.
Orchestra Rouh offers ongoing music instruction to children who have recently resettled in Kalamazoo.
The program looks to bring children together through music--even in the absence of a shared language.
Participants in the program will meet four times a week at the Suzuki Academy of Kalamazoo.
You can learn more about the education and community programs on their website.
