Kalamazoo Red Cross holding training class Friday
KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The Kalamazoo Red Cross will be holding an all day training Friday for anyone interested in volunteering to help those affected by the hurricanes.
Newschannel 3 was in Grand Rapids Wednesday, where nearly 50 first-timers took part in an accelerated "zero to hero" disaster relief class.
The Red Cross says it's in desperate need of more volunteers because of the magnitude of the storms and the damage left behind.
The class Friday will be held at the Kalamazoo Red Cross building near Stadium Drive.
It is an all-day training, going from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
If you are interested in attending, there's only room for 30 trainees.
