The winter weather fun continues Saturday in Kalamazoo, as an annual tradition gets underway.

The Polar Plunge kicks off at 10:30 a.m. from Bell's Eccentric Cafe in downtown Kalamazoo.

The event benefits Special Olympics Michigan and is one of 28 plunges happening across the state.

The Kalamazoo area plunge raised more than $40,000 in 2017.

Plungers saw unseasonably warm temperatures in Kalamazoo the last two years.
