Kalamazoo County Sheriff looking for reserve officers

KALAMAZOO COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office is looking for recruit volunteers for its reserve division.

The recruitment for the reserve academy runs now until September 15th.

It is open to all county residents at least 21-years of age or older.

Recruits will have to pass a background check and a drug screening.

Volunteers can participate in a variety of jobs, including riding road patrol with deputy sheriffs, working with the correctional deputies in the county jail and being part of a rapid response team, to name a few.
