Hushed 911 call leads to arrests

KENT COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Deputies in Kent County have arrested three people after receiving two 911 calls from a home.

It happened Thursday around 5:10am.

Dispatchers received a call from a female who said an address in a hushed voice, adding, "send the police, now."

Several minutes later another call was received. A female stated the same address before hanging up.

Police were sent to the scene in the 7400 block of Eastern in Grand Rapids. They found out that a man lived there who had a felony warrant for his arrest.

Officers got a search warrant that was executed with the help of the Kent County Sheriff Department Tactical Team. The man was arrested, as well as an additional man and woman.

Police later learned that the calls came in because of a domestic dispute between the man and his wife.
