Hidden Kalamazoo marks fifth year showing off historic Kalamazoo buildings
KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) – The Hidden Kalamazoo Tour entered the fifth year to show off historic downtown Kalamazoo buildings.
The 2017 edition of Hidden Kalamazoo featured the history behind six unique buildings, including Kalamazoo City Hall, The Ladies Library, and the Kalamazoo Masonic Temple.
Kalamazoo Historic Preservation Coordinator Sharon Ferraro said, “We done over two dozen different buildings in downtown Kalamazoo. Got people behind the scenes, down to the basement and off of the 15th floor to show them all off.”
The tours ran on June 17 and 18.
“Next year we're not exactly sure what our plan is going to be we're going to do it we're just not sure what we're going to do exactly since the name is ‘Hidden Kalamazoo.’ We figured we could really go anywhere in the city limits and still have a really good tour.”
