Hate Crime Awareness Coalition holding community forum in Kzoo
KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Kalamazoo's Hate Crime Awareness Coalition is hosting a community forum Thursday night.
Community leaders are hoping to bring awareness about current hate crime legislation in Michigan.
Recent acts, most notably the break-in at the Kalamazoo home of Katrina and Marashette Burks on July 16, prompted LGBT and anti-violence organizations to form this coalition.
Thursday night's meeting is from 6:00 to 7:30 at the Douglass Community Association. Everyone is encouraged to attend.
