Hastings officer shoots hoops with local youth
HASTINGS, Mich. —
Officer Josh Sensiba with the Hastings Police Department took a few minutes during his Sunday morning patrol to help build a positive relationship between police and youth. During his regular patrol, Sensiba noticed two boys outside playing basketball and he asked to join in and get to know the two young men.
"I just thought it would be cool to do since they didn't have their heads buried in their devices and they were actually outside doing something." said Sensiba "It helps build a relationship with the youth and especially in a small city it is important to build trust with people in the community."
Just a few minutes of shooting hoops made it a morning to remember for the boys.
