Governor Snyder, Michigan DEQ served subpoenas regarding Flint water crisis
MICHIGAN (NEWSCHANNEL 3) -News continues to develop on the Flint water crisis.
On Monday night Newschannel 3 learned that subpoenas for records were served to Governor Rick Snyder and the Michigan DEQ in connection to class action lawsuits over the Flint water crisis.
The subpoenas call for emails, text messages or other documents sent or received by Governor Snyder, his staff, or emergency managers relating to the Flint River as a water source from January 1st, 2011 up until now.
The subpoenas come nearly a week after Governor Snyder released Flint-related emails. It also comes the same day as Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette appointed a new independent team to lead his investigation into the Flint water crisis.
