Gov. Snyder in West Michigan to unveil new investment in Battle Creek
BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Governor Snyder stopped in West Michigan Wednesday morning to help unveil a new investment in Battle Creek.
The Fire Hub restaurant opened it's doors just before noon.
We're told 80 cents on every dollar the restaurant earns will go to charities in the Battle Creek community.
The other 20 cents will be re-invested in the Fire Hub, which includes a food pantry.
Governor Synder says he hopes the addition of the restaurant, housed in a one-time fire station, will make Battle Creek a stronger city.
"This is something to believe in, to show there are positive moment going on and let's find ways to name and build on places like this to bring Battle Creek back to make it stronger and better," he said.
The Fire Hub is located on the corner of Dickman and Kendall, in Battle Creek.
