Five men charged in connection with fake check cashing
GRANDVILLE, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Five men who have ties to the Kalamazoo area are behind bars after police say they tried to cash fake checks at two West Michigan banks.
Grandville Police were called to the Grand River Bank, on Wilson Avenue, near Rivertown Crossings Mall for someone trying to cash a bad check earlier this month.
The next week, police got the same call from the Chemical Bank across the street.
The suspect was pulled over shortly after, and four people in the car were arrested.
Jerrell Mixon, Jarrod Edmonson, Marc Stanloski, and Chad Watson are all charged with trying to cash the fake checks in the incident.
Keion Jones was charged with check fraud in connection to the other bank.
