SOUTH HAVEN, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A 29-year-old Fennville man is facing several charges after Van Buren county deputies say he admitted to driving drunk with four children in the car.
Just before 8 p.m. Saturday, deputies pulled the man over in South Haven after noticing he wasn't wearing a seat belt.
That's when they say they could smell alcohol coming from the driver. Deputies say he admitted to them he had been drinking before he left his house. He failed a sobriety test and was arrested.
The report is now being forwarded to child protective services as the children's mother was also in the car.
