Father who was subject of Amber Alert now in police custody
A West Michigan father wanted for attempted murder who was the focus of an Amber Alert out of Muskegon, is now in police custody.
Grand Rapids police said they found 22-year-old Jaraun Render shortly before 3 o'clock Thursday, in the 1000 block of Grandville Avenue S.W.
Render is accused of shooting his girlfriend and another man outside a convenience store in Muskegon on Tuesday.
Police said three young children, Jariah Render, Jaraun Render Jr., and Lamir Jamerson were in the suspect's car during the shooting.
A day after the shooting, officers found all three children safe at a home in Grand Rapids.
Render faces two charges of assault with intent to murder, and weapons charges.
