Earthquake interrupts church service during sermon about donating to earthquake victims

PAW PAW, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Saturday afternoon's earthquake hit during a church service in Paw Paw--while the pastor was preaching a sermon about sending relief to Nepal.

Video posted to YouTube by the Seventh Day Adventists Church of Paw Paw shows the moments when the quake hit.

"There's relief work that's going on; many organizations are flooding in from around the world. Approximately 1.4 million people need assistance with food. 1.4 million. 750,000 living in poor quality housing. What we would encourage you to do," Pastor Michael Taylor said, as the quake hit. "I don't know what that is either. So, just act natural, play it's okay."

Pastor Taylor was urging the congregation to contribute to relief efforts.
