Passenger killed after car crashes into power pole in Wyoming
WYOMING, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Grand Rapids Police are searching for a driver who crashed into a utility pole, and reportedly left the passenger to die.
Police tell us it happened just after 11 p.m. Wednesday, at Division Avenue and Alger Street SE, which is on the border of Wyoming and Grand Rapids.
We now know the driver took off running after hitting the median, going airborne and crashing into a utility pole.
Investigators say the passenger--a 28-year-old man--was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers are now searching for a white man in his 20's, between 5'8" and 5'10", with short hair and a beard.
He was last seen wearing a pink shirt and khaki shorts.
