Branch Co. judge cancels bond for man charged in child abuse case
COLDWATER, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A Branch County judge has canceled bond for a man charged in a child abuse case.

Monday afternoon, he was arraigned on one count of possession of a narcotic, less than 25 grams, and 2nd degree child abuse.
The incident stems back to late May.
According to court documents, a Union City officer responded to Platek's home on Woodruff Street, after Platek's mother called 9-1-1.
Inside, Platek's wife reportedly admitted to officers that the two had been shooting up heroin.
They also found the Platek's 2-year-old daughter carrying the plunger part of a syringe. She later tested positive for opiates.
We did some digging into Platek's criminal history, and found these latest charges are the only two felonies on his record.
He was arrested for domestic violence twice in 2014.
